So I got a Net module from another member on here it works fine from my home computer. But I can't access it from off my home network.

There's a ton of info out there about what I'm supposed to do to access it away from home but its written in technical jargon and I know absolutely nothing about networking.
Can someone please help me with this thing?

Have you gone on the DA website? You can download manuals that are more in English

I'm not going to even pretend I understand what I am about to say:
You need to establish a static IP address. Most likely you'll need a service like no-ip.com or something similar. You also have to configure your port forwarding by asigning a specific port to the NET module. Then you will bash your face against it and a few more google windows some more and then Kyle (Nxt) will become owed yet another huge favor because he'll fix your tiny mistake that is keeping it from working. (He's a wizard, so be careful)

Yes been researching for 4 days. I have no idea what port forwarding is domain hosting gateway etc I don't get it at all. To me its an overwhelming amount of technical junk

Wireless. Like I said I can go on my home pc and see everything. Its accessing it remotely that is the issue.

Any network component uses I.P. addressing to send info across the network - at a basic level. Routers are usually setup to provide components with an I.P. when they start up. This can cause issues when a particular component receives a different I.P. all the time...so it can be configured as Static - meaning always the same.

I just set mine up a few days ago, not too bad if you have networking knowledge. What router do you have? Typically its address is 192.168.1.1. There you can open a port for the rkm-net to be exposed to internet. You must enter the selected port on the rkm-net webpage too.

port forwarding opens a hole in your firewall on your router... you can get a prog called automatic port forwarding and it will configure it for you

static ip mean basically every internet connection (Meaning hardware) has an address like the one on your front door to your house its how your isp(internet service provider ) can recognize you ... or track you ,,,,YIKES

anyways there are to kinds of ips static (meaning it will never change) and dynamic meaning they can change it all the time ,,,,

then of course there is I.P. man who is the guy that teaches karate ( and was bruce lees teacher) ,,,, LOL Movie Joke

This is why i still have no controller im lucky i figured out the timers. Lol i can build anything but dont have the patients to mess with computers. At work i tell my machine what to do and it does it at home my computer doesnt listen to me :( good luck man im sure with theae technical gadget guya on here they will get u figured out lol

my computer listens to me .. I think its scared of me ,,, I know this computer in side and out ,,, I built it .... i7950 liquid cooled 4 gtx 480 video cards... its a beast I will kill an x box

I'm not familiar with belkin but I'll walk you through what I did (Cisco)

Login to router
Go to port fowarding
Choose an internal/external port (any number 1-65534), protocol (I select both TCP/UDP)
To IP Address (RKM-NET's IP)
Check enable

Login to RKM-NET
Network Configuration
Enter port you selected on the router in "HTTP Port"
Save

Now you have to add ":X" x = port to the end of the IP of the RKM-NET to access it

Example:

Locally - 192.168.2.XXX:X
Externally - your internet IP:X

That's it!
