Refugium pump

So my maxijet 1200 that was feeding the CPR auqufuge PS crapped out on me yesterday. Opened it up and the shaft is broken and there were a couple snails and starfish in it.

Should I get another maxijet 1200? Or anyone have any other suggestions?
 
Personally I'd just replace it. I've not had the best of luck with buying impellers for pumps.

Check the inside wall where the magnet sits. If it's scored, or not smooth in any way, it's time to replace it.

oh yea there is no repairing the old pump. I was just asking if anyone had any suggestions on a different pump then the maxijet 1200.
 
Sounds good thanks. I had a real hard time dialing in the PS on it, I though it was a 900 (it came with the tank when I bought it used) and saw a lot of people switched to the 900. Then it goes out and I look its a 1200. I wonder if it was too powerful for the skimmer.

Sorry, I didn't have the PS model, just the aquafuge. I really couldn't tell you if it would work or not. Sorry I missed that in your original post.
 
I just looked on CPR's website. The aquafuge 2 ps comes with a rio 600. So i will either go with the 600 or the 800 you suggested. Thanks for the input. I didn't even think about checking the site lol
