Refugiums

Anyone have or used this ADHI Model 45 Refugium? I was thinking about getting one for a 125gl reef ready tank.

Other refugium suggestions welcome.

I say no!! Someone should be able to help you and build a DIY sump like pictured. They are very easy to build!!! Just note, you spending this much on a sump and you decide to get out.. You won't even get close what you spent!!

A 40B should do the trick for you

Yea, I built mine from a 40breeder. If you go to http://www.melevsreef.com there's a lot to learn about sumps, simple and complex sump designs and many other topics.

I built mine with a 40 breeder and the glass was cheap from a local hardware store in Dekalb IL and then some silicone sealant made for aquariums from Lowes, Menards, etc...
If you go this route make sure you buy some sandpaper to sand down the edges of the glass, this way you don't cut yourself on it in the future when cleaning the refugium/sump.

Some people use stock tanks which are used for livestock (horses, cows, etc), I'm looking into getting one of those when I move into a bigger house for my mangroves and whatnot.

Keep an eye out for petco dollar a gallon sale, forum classified, and craigslist. Also if you check classifieds be sure to put a looking for ad out there. Occasionally you'll get a response. I got a reef ready 120 gallon tank for $75 that way. There are always deals to be had.
