Removing Zoas?

I have never fragged polyps and need some help. A while back i bought a nice blue/green monti cap that was attached to a small thin rock. About a week after i attachched it too my reef i saw that it came with two different types of very nice colored zoas on it (BONUS!). Well now theres about 20+ polyps but there monti is slowly covering them and their also growing on the other side of the rock where theyll never been seen.

If you avoided that pointless story... my question is, how do remove polyps without damaging them and then attach them to a frag plug.

The best way would be to chip the rock they are on away with them on it. That might be difficult in your case if you don't have good access to that rock. Sometimes you can peel them off but it is 50/50 on keeping them undamaged

Thanks, i heard using a scrapper/scalp like knife could work. Otherwise i have about another week before the monti is encrusted on my rock so il try to remove it and chisel away the polyps
