Replace your filter socks with the Filter Media Cup

interesting idea, first I've heard of anyone using filter sock holder to run media or floss. :)

I grew tired of the cost and space of filter socks, so when I upgraded my skimmer I re-purposed the "return bubble diffuser cup" into a filter floss holder. I buy a big sheet of felt (for cheap), cut a piece to fit the cup...and replace it every 3 or 4 days, tossing the 3"x4" piece of dirty felt in the trash.

My sump is in the basement 25' away from the DT...not a display fish room, more like a fish dungeon...the filter cup is in the yellow circle.

We weren't sure how hobbyists would respond to this announcement. :suspense: I mean, we obviously think they are cool. So far, so good!
