return pump recs.

Hi guys and girls. I do hope i'm posting this in the correct spot. As I mentioned in my intro I am upgrading my tank and moving the sump into the basement. After researching return pumps that will do the job of pumping back up 10-12 feet I have kinda decided on the reeflo bh 1450. Has anyone used or are using this pump? It will be running a 125g with dual overflows, 2-1" drains, and 2-3/4" returns. A 55 gal sump/fuge, A pm bullet 1 skimmer with a mag 9 feeding it. Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.
Thanks, Jeff

So no one here has used the reeflo bh 1450? Could someone with more experience take a look at the specs on this pump and give an opinion? I'm fairly new to this and would like to make the best decisions poss.
Thanks.

I'm not sure if anyone has experience on this particular pump or not... have you tried doing a Google search on the pump to see if it'll give you adequate pressure for whatever head space you need?

I have used Reeflos. Awesome pumps. But never a BH model. I currently have a dart. What does it say the cutoff is? Reeflo would definitely have some info about the head loss.

I'm running the BH 1450 on my tank. It's a 90 gallon with 40 gallon sump and about 10-11 feet of head. The BHs have 3 speeds and I have to set it on the highest one for it to keep up with my single 1 inch drain (restricting with a gate valve) running at full siphon. I'm happy with the flow I'm getting even though I never tried to figure out what it is.

There's a long thread in the CMAS section on RC where the guy did a 125 gallon build and both he and the person giving him the most help both have 1450s on their 125s. I don't remember how much head they had but maybe they can give you advice.

Cool. Thanks guys. It says it has a 30 ft shut off. I'll have about 11 ft head. From what I can tell I think it will work. Just a little worried because of the price, just under $200 seems too good to be true. Thanks for your input.
