rimless tanks

I am looking into getting a tank for my office. My question is would a rimless tank be fine for a office tank or would I want a regular tank with a canopy do to noise. It is not a super quite office but it is a office. I am looking into a 100gal to 180 gal size tanks. What do you guys think about the size? Is this just too much for a office tank?

Is this going to be for personal viewing or will it be like a tank for the whole office? Either way unless you plan on having all the equipment needed like you do at home for it at the office I'm going to say it's a lil too much. Mainly because it's such a large tank. If you have a room you can use at the office for all the stuff you will be needing such as water changing equipment, salt, RODI etc. then you might be able to do it. I see alot of people doing PICOs for office's. All they need to do is bring in a gallon of water for top offs and a gallon of salt water to do a water change when they need to.

It is my own company and it would be in my own office. I thought about water changes and I am concerned about that I have a personal bathroom right behind were the tank is going for a ro but i cant mix garbage cans like I do at home.

That's a real BIG problem imo. I know I wouldn't want to be carrying bucket fulls of water when needed or for initial setup. Maybe if you hire a company or LFS to do maintenance?

i say just go with a nano tank around 30g or less .. which will be more manageable

Maintenance is part of the fun but maybe I am just wishing too big for a office tank. But what about the rimless Idea would that work?

We'll you can plumb the R/O from the bathroom like you said and have it go straight to a float valve for AT. If you think about it, your only going to be doing water changes every couple weeks so hauling water won't be the end of the world. Especially if you have a already have a water carrier supply your office with water jugs for the dispensers. You can just take a couple into your office.

I am going to get a bench-like piece of furniture i can put next to the tank and custom make, hopefully a 15 gallon container to house my Water for top off.

As for as the tank... I would say go rimless! Mine was a little loud at first because of the waves going into the overflow. But i added a sponge filter to quite that down. Other than that, they nice for feeding, WC's, Adding/moving rock ect. I love not having a canopy to open anymore.

I meant who built it. I just really fingered it. But I looked at you build thread and figured it out. If you wouldn't mind pming me with the cost and time it took to get you tank in once you ordered it.
