RKE and ATO hookup

I got an avast ato pump with the rke hookup.
The pump is attached to the (A) switch on the SL1
It is plugged into a pc4, channel 4
I'm having trouble with the programming the pump.
When the switch is open, the pump is off, which is correct
However when it is closed, the pump goes on/off/on/off.........
It will not stay on. Any Ideas?
 
The water evaporates and fluctuates in small amounts so the pump will turn on if the water level is just low enough to turn the switch on then once it pumps in water it may be just enough to raise the water turning the switch off
 
Just hooked up my new ATO to my RKE and its solid!.
Pressure switch turns it on and off through the pump.
Redundancy with a float switch to shut off the flow if pump didn't shut off.
Finally, won't have to deal with filling every day and can get my skimmer dialed in, due to the design of the sump (aqueon modular sump)
Won't have pH swings from adding alot of top off compared to adding a little at a time.
The joys of automation. One tank down, two to go.
Now on to the filling station too
 
Congrats! Thought about buying a stand alone ATO but wanted a RKL anyways so going this route is a no brainer
 
When you get your RKL, if you need help let me know. Once you get the basics down, it is pretty easy to program. I went with the elite because I knew I would be adding on to it. I have two tanks on it now, and am adding the ato to the second tomorrow. Need to buy another pc4 to expand some more!
