Pricing doesn't really change much between different gpd rated membranes between 25-90 gpd, it's the total stages of filtration and extras that make the most difference in price. A TDS meter will show you what your total dissolved solids are in the water, most useful in seeing when your DI resin is spent and needs changing. A flush kit will rinse the membrane extending its life, and a pressure gauge will let you know if your rodi is running on optimum pressure range. Otherwise, you want at least one sediment filter, one carbon block, an RO membrane, and a single DI filter to make water for your reef tank. The BRS 5 stage plus is just about your best bang for the buck if you are buying new. You get all the extras and it ships free. You might get a better deal at spectrapure on a similar setup, but then they charge shipping and you spend more.
