RO incoming pressure-should I look at a pressure pump

I recently upgraded my BRS value unit to have the water saver feature. Moved from 75gpd to the 150gpd with the second RO membrane. Since I have added it I noticed that the incoming pressure isn’t where it should be based on BRS’s suggested +60 (w/dual membranes) I currently am getting 43-46psi. Am I over thinking this too much or should I be planning on adding a pump? My other thought is maybe my pressure guage maybe due for replacement.

Thank for your reply’s

I had pressure in the 30s before getting a pump. Now I’m at 80 and I make water a lot faster and probably more efficiently too.

What type of pump did you go with? I’ve been looking at the one on BRS but it’s $150, I want to make sure I’m getting value from that kind of upgrade.

second the pump. Very helpful. I've a similar unit to what you have and found it helpful.
