Ok temp is up and just added 2 bottles of dr tims quick start. Added my skimmer and carbon reactor, new heater 500w , ph and opr probes rk ato unit and pump. Now if I can just get the rk to work properly I'll be all set. But I'm upgrading to the rke hopefully tomorrow.

Well good news tank is starting to cycle ammonia starting to spike nitrates not so much.
And the water really cleared up the last couple of days

Ok so I'm gong to be running a OT and came up with this thought, remove one of the seats and going to put down a 3/4" piece of plywood to set the tank on , drill a couple holes to run the hoses through. Keep it temporally till I have all my fish and then take it down and put the seat back.

Tank is coming along just fine a lot of brown algae on the rocks going to need to get a clean up crew here soon. Water test check out good. Just Put in some lights in the sump area so I can see what I'm doing.

Thank you , just getting so impatient and just want to throw a bunch of fish and coral there. But over the years I've learned to be patient good things will come to those who wait

Well I hung the T5 to see what looked better , I like both but it sure is hard to decide, as soon as I get the par meter that will make the final decision for me. What does everyone think led/ T5 see led pic is post 38

A little up date on the tank, got the cal reactor all hooked , placed an order to reefcleaners and should be here Tuesday , placed a few pieces of coral in the tank and seem to be really happy so far and still rocking the T5 for now till I test for par readings.

Ok par readings are in and the leds failed , the 2 LEDs I have are ai Vegas and testing was done on a 48x24x24 tank set at 100%. So surface above water 600par 6" below water 280 range center of tank 120-140 and sand 40-60 not what I was looking for , so went ahead and hung the T5 and with 8 bulbs out of 10 on out of the water 600+ 6" under 380-400center of tank 260-280 and sand bed 200-220. So in the end I would need 2 more Vegas to even come close to what the T5 is putting out. So I took both Vegas and hung them over the frag tank and getting plenty of par there 260-380. Going to build a 4bulb T5 retro fit and the Vegas and see what I'm getting then , LEDs are not out just need to tweak a little.
