Hello every,
I have a question, please advise
I bought a booster pump on ebay for my RODI 75gpd system,
they shipped me a different one, I called them up and they said then sent me a better one, I don't trust them.
I Tested the pump last night, my water pressure 35psi before installed the pump, after installed the pump, it pumped up to 70psi instead of 80psi, 1 hour the filter produced about 3g of water and the pump kinda hot, is that good or bad? please let me know.
thanks

booster pumps usually can get dialed in so you can adjust the overall PSI....fwiw, a PSI of 70-80 is very good especially since the recommended minimum PSI is 40-50

on the other hand....I can't comment on the quality of the pump you bought so hopefully you got a good price for a good unit that will last...

35 psi out put without the pump,
after installed it gave me an out put of 70+ psi
so it sounds that pump is working ok,
just worry about the heat when i touch the pump,
any more advise is appreciated,
thanks

For the heat, the pump shouldn't be too hot to touch. Under normal operation, a booster pump should be pretty hot, but you should be able to put your hand on it, and keep it on.
