Shedd fish offer food for thought

Knew a guy who would take a piece of broccoli and scrap of the little green buds for his fish.

the thing with feeding your tank vegies is you have to wash it so good i would even go as far to soak it over night you never know what pestisides are on the iteam and if you happen to get something bad you could lose your tank

I have read because of the high vitamin content of raw vegetables such as broccoli and even carrots it could be beneficial to reduce the effect of HLLE. Seems strange to me but I have never tried it so I can not speak to the effectiveness. I try to keep the diet vitamin enriched, varied, and natural as much as possible.

Brocolli is good for fish just the green top part . Peas r good but u suposse to take skin off helps fish with swim bladder issues carrots r good for fish color betacaretine or something

If you’re worried about pesticides you should try using organic veggies. Jewel sells organic frozen Broccoli, Green Beans, Spinach, Peas and Corn.

I puree defrosted carrots/broccoli/green beans for Kalvin & all the tanks get some every morning.

Whos Kalvin?
