Sizing Anemones: How do we measure them?

I see people selling RBTA's on here all the time, online sites, craigslist ads, what is the way to measure them considering that they deflate and expand depending on lighting and other factors that we barely seem to understand. When I got mine it doubled in size from the previous owner.

Should we measure only the base, full expansion, tentacle length, irritate it to close up and then measure, what is the general consensus here?

One day it looks like this and then a month later like this

I think most people want to know an approximate size when it is fully expanded, as that is how much real estate the nem will be taking up when first introduced. Sizing, whether it be for coral, fish, or inverts is rarely done precisely in this hobby.

if i were to buy that nem pictured , i would want to know roughly how big it is when its open daily(both disc and tentical length) . this will give me a good idea if it will fit in my tank or not
