Skimmer choice 75 DT

Hello all,Im setting up a 75 tank that will feed a 45 gallon sump and a 20 gallon frag tank. I plan on having a medium to medium-heavy bioload. Im torrn between the Aquamaxxx em200 or 300 and the reef octopus NWB 150 or 200. I have a small (2") blue tang which is the reason im upgrading tank sizes.Total water volume will be around 110 gallons. Is the Aquamaxx worth the price over the much cheaper RO?
 
Aprreciate it, but its sold. Also its specs didn't seem strong enough for the design I want. It was only pulling a max of 540LPH while the NWB150 is over 700
 
Never heard of the sca I'd have to look it up. How do you like the nwb anarchy? I think I'm leaning more towards the nwb 200 or em300 for some major over skimming.
 
It's pretty much the only in sump Skimmer I've ever used so I really can't give you a good answer. I have a very low bioload so there's not much poop to pull but the skimmate is always the nastiest smelling
 
I have the money but would rather use it on lighting and other equipment. My display is only a 75 gallon tank but total water volume would be roughly 110 gallons. Stocking list are 3 Blue star leopards (2"), 1 Yellow tang (1.5"), 1 foxface (1.5"), 2 Snowflake clowns, 1 Blue tang (2"), 1 Goby (2").
All my fish are very small now and I've had them for 8 months. So by the time I upgrade my tank to a 180 they should be half grown. Is the SCA enough for a large bioload on 110 gallon?

If you know you are upgrading to a 180 buy the skimmer for that tank now and save some cash later. Plan ahead!

Well I've heard if you use to large a skimmer on a small system you're not doing yourself a favor since the skimmer won't be as effective.

Buy a DC skimmer and turn the pump down or just feed heavy and stock the 75 up with fish.
 
Kinda want to stick to name brand or skimmers that have been out a while. Don't want to buy a low price skimmer only to find out why it was so low to begin with.
