which one should you pick between aquaC EV240 & reef octopus ddnw 150 recirculate both grade up 300 gallon , i have both need to pick one b4 give up other.

Reef Octopus for me. I owned both, I feel like I have to tweek the AquaC all the time to keep it optimally working. Once you set up the Reef Octopus, you pretty much just forget about it.

Assuming we don't get a stellar deal on another decent brand used when setting up a 40b reef, I will be making my future bro-in-law buy an octopus. Rock solid standalone skimmer. If you want an all in one skimmer sump I really love my CPR CY series. In his case we are making a 29g sump/fuge so he has a huge variety of choice for skimmer like you.

I just picked up a reef octopus and its kicking but compared to the two superskimmers I ran before. One time adjustment with gate valve and done.
