Skimmer Help needed

I have an ASM gc9 in my 300dt. The pump went out a few weeks back and I replaced it. I cannot get the skimmer to skim properly now. I use to be able to overflow the cup. Now I cannot even get into the base of the collection cup. Any thoughts on how I can fix this thing.

Its been 3-4 weeks. I figured it would be broken in by now.

I have been adjusting from 9" to 11". Recommended levels. No change at either height

Don't hesitate to adjust it beyond the recommended levels... Also maybe run the new pump in some vinegar and water to help break it in a little bit if you haven't already...

is it getting a lot of tiny bubbles?
is the airline feeding it clogged somewhere ...whats it doing?

No clogs. Its working great with the exception of being able to raise the water level into the skimmer cup. The water line is below the cylinder under the collection cup. Cannot get it to go into the cylinder connecting cup to skimmer. Im still pulling out lots of waste but its not as efficient as my last pump that was able to raise the water level.
