I upgraded my 5g pico to a 8.9g rimless this week. Im running a RKL with a heater and fan for Temp control since i went with a mesh top. A aquaclear 20 for filtration. Im looking to add a diy wood airstone skimmer at some point but for now probably just WC as needed.








Old Pico a year old.

Thats a great looking tank I want to put one at work, but not going to happen, I will be bringing me in though a Betta atleast to work and have that here so I have something to still look at. You must work somewhere cool where they let you bring that because most places don't let you do that no more.

If so I want to work there also!!!

i kinda just did it, i told my boss if anyone had a problem with it i would take it down. but it was a hit and people love the tank. I find people sitting in my chair all the time, just staring at the tank. i got three people interested, one person is going to try SW. I sit here almost everyday so it get the best attention. Plus i got oodles of ro water, i just bring in a couple buckets and a bag of salt for the WC.
 
i bought the tank on RC, its a Wright Schuber 9 gallon tank. Thanks Frankie. I was going to put in a couple tangs, maybe next week. That would be fresh. Im also going to introduce a nem in a couple months.
 
update. I started vinegar dosing this tank and havent done a WC in three months. 1 started dosing .25ml increasing .25 every week or so. im at 3.5ml a day. manual dosing since im here everyday. all softies and no bateria blooms so far. ill probably continue to increase.
