Snowflake eel

Does anyone have any experience with snowflake eels? I want one but want to find out from people that have had them before what their feelings are on them.

I like them, but IMO you have to have a top on the tank. They are escape artists.

Other then that, keep fish that don't fit in its mouth n they are pretty good.

Might as well put a rode in your tank under a rock painted black and white. Mine never came out!! And when it came out it was when I was up at 4:00am to get ready for work n it was for about a minute!! Caught him up n gave it away!! Along w a wolf eel! I think they r boring but you gotta see for yourself!

They destroy u rock work . Had one caused colaspe all the time. I have two zebra eels now never try to escape and sleep in the rocks not under

Big over 2ft in a 90 gallon getting rid of one was suposse to ti day but got stuck working on truck so didnt take it to store

I had one back in 2002 in a 55, couldn't find it after a couple months of having it. Moved out a year later and found it underneath the stand dried up and mummified! No top on my tank. Next time I get one, Going to make sure I have a top so it can't crawl out.

Mine would come out during the day and night. It was about a foot long.

They only get to be right under a foot and seen to be less aggressive. I personally don't consider eels to be reef safe but this one would be the only one I would ever put in a reef because of its small size and more passive behavior. Still at the end of the day it is an eel. Just my few cents
