So as all you know i bought a leopard wrasse 12-21-12.. When i got it it wasnt eating frozen or flakes or pellets only pods so i took the risk of training it to eat.. Finally after 7 days of continuos feeding hes finally aggressively eating frozen hikari mysis and brine shrimp.. What i did was.. Day after i got it i also added my melanarus wrasse to help entice it to eat. I feed 1-2 times a day everyday of hikari mysis/brine shrimp and some flake food and pellets here and there.. At first he only looked at it but it gradually got interested in it do to my fatty melanarus wrasse attacking the food all the time lol.. While feeding heavy i've been putting my skimmer on overload and been doing some small 4g water changes every three days to prevent the water from getting too dirty..
So whats next u say... Im gonna continue this feeding for about a 2 weeks until i see my leopard wrasse get extremely comfortable eating frozen mysis and brine and until he starts eating flake foods also..
Wish me luck on the flake food training but all i can say is YES!! I did it kinda lol
Thought i'd share with everyone lol
Also i gotta thank my melanarus wrasse for helping his leopard buddy eat frozen food.. Without his fat ash i wouldnt have made this progress.lol
