Sump help!! Acrylic expert needed!

Well the other day I was doing my water change and a large piece of LR slipped and slammed down on my sump cracking it all across so no I'm scrabbling to find something to work problem is this is on my 150g deep tank which has a 48" wide stand and no way of purring in a decant size sump in there. Have to brake my current one in pieces to just get it out... SO I do have two smaller acrylic sumps as you can see in the pic but this measures 57" and even by eliminating the hose and somehow connecting the two I'm still left with 3/4" too long and they need to go in the stand in two pieces... So my question is, is there ANYONE who can help me out and maybe cut a portion out of one and have it where I can silicone/glue them together in the stand......... Please say yes.... lol HELP! Im getting super paranoid having my tank with no equipment for days now....

Yikes, in the short term i'd get the sump up and running next to your tank. I don't know how to work with acrylic, so im no use. On the other hand i have scrap acrylic if you find someone and need more acrylic. Good luck.
 
I think you can get acrylic pieces from home depot/lowes and get size that is right for what you need. you need to use "weld on" to glue acrylic together, not silicone. silicone won't work.
 
^Right I just dont trust myself to hack at the sump and be sure it wont leak because once done it wont come out unless I break it out or tear down my DD to remove it.
 
Sorry to hear about your sump Dan.

Instead of manufacturing sump under your tank, how about bracing the stand to support removing the center brace?

With a 2x4 or 2x6 across the front and back, kind of a bench around the existing stand so you could cut the center piece allowing you to put in a 36 or so inch wide single sump? Once the sump is in you could add your center braces back. Or you could go to Home Depot and use some angle iron to reinforce your frame they have some thick (I think 1/4 inch) L shaped angle you could drill holes to hold the angle to your stand. 1/4" angle would't hold all the weight, but, I hope you only have a small fraction on your center brace.
 
Your not getting the problem here. Unless that 40g is not longer them two feet it won't fit... Which is why I'm trying to use the acrylic ones I have and connect them while IN the stand.
