Sunspect chinese led box bad idea?

so its been close to a month with these lights and they have been good for my coral but now im concerned i wipe algae off yhe glass and an hour later its bak and all my rocks ate covered with it? is it the lights the tanks like a months or so old? also i reead that not this particular led light but a different looking ebay led type has caused a fire? Did Not look like the chinese black led box. lemme kno what u guys think? i may jus be patanoid but after reading that but what about the algae? http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/311484469525 thx again

I've had diatoms with Radions, Hydras, and Reef Breeders.. it seems to just natural bloom in this hobby. It usually indicates a water quality issue or just a part of a maturing tank instead of the light itself.

It looks like your rock is pretty white and sterile, once you get more coralline, worms, shrimp, copepods, sponges, etc eating up nutrients it should be less occurring.

Also i had the ebay chinese fixtures for yrs before i switched back to t5 if u house them in a canopy may have to clean them often but i can tell u in a canopy dont care what brand it is without refular cleaning salt creep causes shorts which cause fires keep em clean and u be good . If not in canopy less to worry about although again every brand of light or in that matter any kinda electronics need a cleaning every now and then dust build up etc salt water just makes it more important to keep clean
