Superman Chalice

Well I received a Superman Chalice last friday. In a frag pack purchased online it looked to be doing ok until this morning.

Part of the frag started to lose tissue.

Is anyone willing to house it for me for a bit to save it. It has about 4 eyes on it.

Not sure what the issue is. I have a Hollywood stunner chalice that is growing just fine in the same tank.

The issue probably is the flow and light

Moving tanks is not a good idea when you can see the Skelton exposed on the chalice

Move it to a low flow low light area and it would be fine

Izzy, chalices usually recover pretty well; I'm with Krishna. Toss it in the shade, give it just enough flow to keep it clean, and feed the crap out of it and it'll do just fine. ;)

Its still there but looks like more tissue is receding...

Had 4 eyes... only 3 left and the tissue around all of the edges of the frag has receded.

When buying chalices frag make sure all sides all healed up, they are prone to bacterial infection. Support all ur local reef store we have plenty in here, drive around one weekend and see what they have to offer I'm sure u will find what u looking for might not be the right one but u will find something similar or better. I been in the hobby for a very long time not once i bought anything online, I traded with other hobbyist out of state and that is it. lighting plays what gives u that urgency to buy this coral they look good in one type of lighting but not on others. U can dip that on lugols to kill bacteria .
