T5 combo

Hey all so I'm still working on my 65g build and very unsure as to what I want to use. When I was at the expo I saw reefbrite was going to have a T5 led combo fixture. Has anyone used a T5 combo or do they still use one.

Aquapros has a ati power module all lit up go check it out wicked fixture
I seen what they look I'm just looking into spending $1500 on a light fixture no thanks.. I'm just an average Joe don't make that kind of money lol

You could always get a few kessils. Just shop around or wait. They always come up on here. That's unless you need to have the T5

If u have a canopy then u can always just get an ATI fixture and DIY some leds on there. If u don't then a reef brite can b added to the ATI fixture.

It will be way cheaper than buy a combo fixture.

IMO i would just go w/ a t5 fixture and a small amount of DIY LEDS. I've had leds for probably around 2 years now and i like them less and less every time i see a tank with t5s. I cant wait to switch back. I have some t12's that i'll install one day into my canopy and maybe i'll like the color again but until then i'm done with LEDS by them selfs lol

I have one kessil A350 now so I might keep that and see if I can find a decent price ATI T5 fixture

With that fixture ur set. u might not even want to add leds also. I thought about adding a reef brite, but I'm actually fine with it. Corals look great and u do get some pop in color.
You think ita worth the extra money to get the dimmable one?

Yes. Especially if ur changing from led. U won't miss it as much since u have control of dimming. U won't have the shimmer but the sunrise/sunset will still be there. I had the 4 bulb non dimmable and I didn't like it as much. But that could of been also cuz it was only 4 bulbs. But since I switched to the 6 bulb dimmable fixture I don't think I'll ever go back to LEDs.

You still havnt installed those t12s?!

That light was nice. My only problem is that it was 300$ for just the 2 bulb fixture, then you need to buy the 200$ xho reefbrite strips seperate. Kinda steep, but man did it look sleek.
