I would do the 36" fixture. That way u have complete light coverage and great par anywhere in the tank. U can use a 24" fixture but u will have to raise it high and I'll have a lot of light spilling out of the tank and into the room the tank is gonna be in. It can be done but ull also loose so par since the light is higher and the ends won't b fully covered.

Oh ok yea i didn't even think about the higher I set it more par I lose.. What you think height wise for the 36
