TLF...BRS...or Avast reactor

I purchased a Dual BRS Reactor and have had no issues. I have heard of some folks getting a rattling of the quick connections on them. I have not had a problem. I am running a MJ1200 with the enclosed valve to control the flow. So far so good! I have also used a TLF for GFO. It is good too. If you can set the 2 reactors up in series then you can used one pump. I think there are folks who are on CR who are doing this. I liked BRS all in one set up... It took me about 10 mins to set up and get running. Also....no leaks, no drips and no errors!!!:proud:

I like the 2lf reactors best,I've run them before and work great. The BRS reactor(dual) seems to have flow issues thru second chamber.

The avast is the best of the group. If you modify the TLF it will run better than the BRS, but the BRS is better out of the box.

The BRS does make it easiest to change the media though.

Hands down TLF :D The dual BRS reactors are nice and media can be changed in 1, 2, & 3 you are done vs TLF. But flow is my issue through these reactors. Dont want to keep adjusting the flow as it will get clogged or not have flow through media :(

Now, this is JMO

You can use these with a dual BRS and flow should be low to run GFO/carbon. Can still modify if sponge is needed. This could have fixed the flow issue that I had.

It Is still a hard decision What are you guys running carbon gfo biopellets. I have always been able to keep up with 30g weekly water changes but it has finally caught up with me lol. The only other thing I have changed is I quit feeding RODS ?
