To glass lid or not to glass lid?

Attention Nuvo owners. Who out there keeps the supplied glass lid on their Nuvo? I like that it keeps water loss to a minimum. However, the condensation has to effect the light penetration. I won't go without a cover as I want to prevent any future carpet surfing incidents.

I just put mine back on my fluval chi 5.5 after I got rid of my hob filter and had a sexy shrimp make a run for it.

I keep my lid on. For the following reason.
1. Helps retain heat
2. Limit evaporation
3. Life saver

My lid no longer fits my EcoPico. ATO ruined that.

Glass has to be scraped with a razor to remove salt kreep and hardened water stains
In order to maintain high
light penetration and therefore max coral growth
Only have to top off tank once a week though
Which is swell

I take the lid off a few times a week and wipe it off. Hopefully that'll help keep any buildup off. So, it seems that there's no ill effect from keeping it on, just from leaving it off. Cool, thanks peeps!
And by the way, anyone using the stock lighting?
