Looking at VorTech MP-10 for my 40 breeder.

Will it be enough? What mode do you run your VorTech on?

Yes, bro-in-law has a single 10 on his 40b, runs in lagoon at like 50% power all the time, his corals are super happy. If you have SPS, might need to dial it up a little higher than that.

How high in the tank does he mount it?

I believe the center of the prop is about 4" down from water. Maybe 5"

How long is a 40B? I have a 36" long tank and I found I needed two for my SPS. If you have mostly LPS, one should be fine.
