SkullV New member Jun 26, 2014 #22 It can, but if you got your alk down to a normal level (just dose calcium and magnesium but not alk for a few days/week/whatever) then do your weekly 10% or whatever water change with reef crystals it won't get that high.

Jason R New member Jul 11, 2014 #24 I found the problem. It was an algae bloom from my biopellets. Once I degunked the BP reactor and cleaned up the sump the water cleared up right away.
