Gotta get the holdfast off or it will just keep growing back. I read a thread a while back on some other site about people using diluted peroxide and a toothbrush to scrub and kill unwanted algae, Unfortunatly it can kill any wanted stuff too, such as coralline. Maybe someone that has done the peroxide deal before can chime in.

Only reason I mention the peroxide method is where its located seems like it could be an easy remody.
