What's a good led strip light

Whats a good led strip light that I can add to my t5 lights? Looking to add more intensity so I can start keeping some sps that demand those higher par numbers.

Ecoxotic stunners are a great, cheap, and quick setup, and you can get in-line dimmers for them as well. Or their Panorama Strip lights are more powerful than T5VHO

What lights are you using now? How many bulbs over what size tank? Stunners are meant for accent lighting and lps. SPS require the Pro LED Modules if they are the main source of light.

I have a six bulb five foot tek light fixture. I can grow some sps now with it but I feel like they lose some color. My tank is a six foot by 18 inch wide by 24 height. 125 gal.

If you're looking for accent lighting to help colors pop, then the stunners are for sure the way to go. If you're looking for more power in your lights to help grow the SPS, then you'll want the Pro LED Module strips. Does that make sense? It would take a LOT of stunners to get the power to grow SPS. I use UV stunners with my Pro LED Module fixtures, and will be getting some reds as well to complete the spectrum. If that's what you want, then Stunners FTW.

IMO, the cost of adding a strong enough LED strip is prohibitive and should probably be put towards a new fixture all together. As an example; I have a Reef Brite 36" XHO strip and it has the same PAR output of 1 VHO T5. It cost $300. I bought it to supplement and to have a dawn/dusk affect with my MH's. Good strips are expensive and most of them are not meant to add PAR so you should take the money and upgrade your fixture so you won't need them. Just my 2c...

I know what you are saying but I'm not sure if I want to go the led route or halide route I had been thinking bout going halides with t5 supplementation but I didn't want to deal with the extra heat of the halides

My other option would be to take glass tops off but I have to make some sort of mesh top for it then so my wrasses don't jump out. I think if I removed glass tops it should add some par wich might be enough then. What do you think?

Yeah, it doesn't seem like too many people are going to MH's these days.

I would absolutely do this and go with a diy screen cover. It should help. It is possible to keep sps w/ 6 bulbs. They may not have explosive growth but its certainly possible.
