Was trying to decide which one of the vortechs to buy for my biocube/nuvo.. Was wondering whats the difference between mp10 mp10es and mp10wes?

Go with the mp10es for now. You can buy the wireless rf chip later if you upgrade tanks and need to sync then.

was thnking the same.. but would it cost me about the same or more if i buy it later rather than buying the whole set up with the wireless..

Separately, minus shipping costs, it's about a wash overall. But you save like $50 retail for something else in the meantime.

yeah ur right..not planning to get a bigger tank anytime soon.. so probably better with just that.. and maybe i can use the 50 for the media rack lol

If its going in any tank in your signature, you'll never need 2 unless you upgrade.

yeah just planning to use one on each.. the biocube and nuvo.. the wiring on the hydors just doesnt the tank look nice..

Yea cuz the tank looks so awesome with a huge wart and cable stuck to the side of it. I got my vortechs cause of what they can do, not how they look. A $30 hydor koralia will be just fine in a small AIO tank if you ask me. That's all I ever run/ran in any of my biocubes and my corals were plenty happy.

Also on such a small quiet tank, the vortech will be much louder than a koralia since its got that dc motor mounted outside the tank,

oh ok.. well im not only buying it for the looks.. also for the multiple functions that it has.. just thought that it maybe ok to just add one vortech instead of 2 koralias.. but ur probably right.. might make some significant noise in a small size tank..

I just know my nano is in the bedroom with a nano 425 koralia, and the tank is dead silent unless I forget to top off and the water trickles. If I had an mp10 on the tank it would definitely be distracting while we are trying to sleep. I can still very faintly hear my mp40's running idle in night mode from 30' away and around a corner at night.

I agree one will do and if your not upgrading or if you do and still keeping the nano the es is plenty and they are nice because of the different functions they have but the hum can get annoying small koralias would be good to for that tank the lil ones and even a upgraded pump for what you'll save on the vortec
