Just a silly question as always...

Do I need light over the tank to have fish in there? Im still saving the pennys so that I can get some lights from Gus, bu i would really like to see something living in this thing. I want to move my fish from the biocube into it, but do not want to cause any undo stress to them.

Please let me know!!

Yep, has been running for a couple months now...added some of the bacteria goodness to it...everything seems legit from what I can tell...

you dont need a light for just fish. Fish dont care if there is light or not and if you are moving them to a new tank it would be better for the fish to not have light so they dont get stressed out. light that comes through your window or room lights is just fine.Good luck on the transfer

The darkness won't stress them out...as long as the tank gets some sort of ambient lighting, they'll be happy. My moms light went out on her tank two months ago, and I've just got her another one two weeks ago. And her fish were fine.
