who runs jebao DCT return pumps

Who runs these? I want a new return for my 40g Dt/20l sump, debating on the 3000 or 4000. I know the 4000 is over kill but for 5-10$ more could always use on a upgrade. I only got a 3ft head on my tank, right now I use a Rio + 1700 which is 2430 lph for dct 4000 is 2837 about 400l more ph. I don't think it'll be toooo much. Any thoughts? I hear these guys are quite quiet?

Is the Rio + 1700 to much pump already for your system already?
You want the lowest setting on the DCT to be within range for your application.
Running the pump on its lowest power setting may increase life of pump.
Go with the DCT 4000.The extra power is good if you ever need to stir things up in your tank.

I have a DC 9000 (not dct) on my 40b with 29 sump. Ran it on 2nd lowest setting. 1 year later and still good.

Forgot to mention mine ran for 10 months and i fried the power supply and had to buy a new one

I have dc 6000 at 50 percent over a year

I have a dct 6000 on my 90 gallon, I run it at 50%. After 8 months I'm having restarting issues when I lose power to it.

to be honest yes the rio is too much flow, but it's a bit old and just want a new one. was planning on getting a ball valve or gate valve?

I was running a waveline for 3 years and it crapped out. I replaced it with a DCT 6000 and it's been running well for about 8 months.

Open it up and clean it first, if that doesn't work, try another power supply. Jebao uses the absolute cheapest garbage power supplies. If I keep my Jebaos (depends on how their gyre looks) I'll be buying a larger Meanwell power supply to replace all of my jebao power supplies.

After downgrade from 125 I have exact set up as yours. 40gal. breeder and 20l sump. It is 8 months old and I run DCT 8000 on 40%. I like the pump but this is my second one. First stoped working after 7 months. Shame on me, I never cleaned it. Will see, now its sitting in Vinegar...

that's a lot of flow!! with my Rio 1700, I got lots of flow but the dct 6000??
