Wp40 problems

So I bought a wp40 in the recent group buy and I'm having problems. My tank is 1/4" acrylic, every time I put the magnet on the outside of the acrylic it stops the pump. If the outside magnet is not there it works just fine. I have also taken it out of the fish tank and tried it in my fresh water reservoir and the same thing happens. Any clue anybody? Thanks

Can you cut a thick carton (thick about 1/2 inches) place it outside between the magnet? 1/4" is too thin.

I tried 1/4" cardboard but didn't work but I will try the 1/2" see how it goes. Thanks

There's a video on YouTube with someone having the same problem. So your not alone.

Wow that a new one works on my 75 gal glass gotta be around same thickness id guess the magnet is screwingwith the prop mag
