Wyoming White Clown?

I just became the proud owner of a mated pair of "Wyoming White" clownfish.

I am honestly not a huge fan of clowns, but they look pretty unique. I've never heard of them before.

They are in my qt right now and I don't know if i should ever put them in my DT. I already have an onyx clown in there.

3 questions I have are pretty basic.

1. Would there be problems with the onyx?

2. If I decide I don't want to keep them, what would a fair price be to rehome them?

3. I feed brine and mysis almost exclusively, do I need more variation in the diet?

1: i would not keep a pair unless blocked off from the other , is it possible they get along yes ..also possible fight injury or death to a clown.
2: what did u pay for them ? are they a true mated pair or bonded? where were they purchased from ?
3:a varied diet is always good imo

I didn't buy them. I guess you could say I inherited them. Basically, I'm the only person my wife's family knew that could take care of the fish. I also acquired a helfrichi firefish and a few anthais at the same time.

Is there only one onyx or a pair?
I have 3 clowns in my tank and they get along fine. Most wouldn't recommend doing this though. As far as re homing a quick Google search shows I can get 1 at 1 1/2" for $50 just to give you an idea of what they go for.

It's just one onyx. Where'd you find it @ $50? I found it at a few places but the price range was pretty broad. The prices I saw were 100, 174, 250...and for a mated pair the low end @ 500 and even a few around 1500.

I don't understand the huge price variances. Is it a quality thing?

What size is your tank?

It is never a good idea to keep a bonded pair of clownfish with another clownfish. If your Onyx is a female, she will almost surely fight to with your female WW...

AquaPros in Glen Ellyn sells WWs for 60-70 each...

A varied diet is always a good choice...

Would luv to see some pix.of your pair...

Nice looking clowns. If I were you they'd be in my dt and the onyx sold but I'm also a big onyx fan

I say u got a good score there. Id ditch the onyx and keep the ww just my oppinion the risk is too high if u didnt buy from same clutch and add at same time even then they can fight once mature that ww being 3 inch mature female will pick a fav boy and kill othermost likely

I will call them a bonded pair as I have not seen them actually mate. I was merely told through a 3rd party (his wife) that she believes they have laid eggs several times in the past few months.

For clarification. They are not for sale. Please don't pm me offering to buy them. I decided I might just put them in a new tank all alone. And recommendation on minimum size tank? My qt is a 10g. They look a little cramped.
