Yellow spots on rock

UPDATE: Call me paranoid but would just like to get some input please. It seems the yellow is spreading pretty fast and getting onto the glass and sand as well, this normal? Will my cleaner crew take care of it? Need more of them? Second is I saw today these little brown things on the sand bed, to be frank they look like turds lol.. Anyways can someone look at these updated pics and tell me what you think please...

Woke up this morning to see a lot of the rock covered in spots. This is on a new tank setup. Already got the brown diatoms so didn't worry there but then saw this... Is this bad??

Not necessarily. It could very well be the beginning of coralline algae which is good.

What do you have in the way of CUC?
 
At the moment several types of snails one enormous turbo snail my wife just had to have and called it "Fatso"... lol anyways. Few hermits and a cleaner shrimp. Total want to say maybe 10 guys? Tomorrow I should be getting my order from reef cleaners which consist of dwarf ceriths,nerite snails,serpent starfish, trochus snails etc.
 
Not to clear of a pic but if that is bubble algae you might want to take that rock out. I'm fairly new also and have not dealt with bubble algae.
 
What about those little brown things on the bed? Also some of the snails are bubble bee snails. Ready they are sorta bad. True? Should I remove?
 
if it is growing day to day .. it has to be cyano algae (not coraline imo )

it will go away eventually as this is a new tank. if you are feeding the tank then stop feeding in excess.. check your nitrates and do a water change.

as for the litte brown bits on the sand, are they moving ? did you start with live rock or dry rock ? cant really tell from pics but do they look like they have eyes and legs ?

it they are translucent green bubbles, then its bubble algae .. if the bubbles get blown off then its just algae making air bubbles and will go away when algae does.


if its bubble algae, its best if you can take the entire rock out and treat it as you are still in the early stages.

i see a shrimp in there .. i think tank is too new for that shrimp

Dont move and seem to be cut down the center, here's a larger one. There's several of these spread out.

yup then they are just air bubbles being made or caught by the algae ..

and those turds look like poop to me from your snails may be, but i may be very wrong ? try holding one between your fingers and see it just powders.pastes up lol ..


what all live stock do you have in there ? other than snails ?
 
Haha don't think it's that as I would of seen it before. Livestock sails/hermits and a shrimp and a pair of clowns the orginal owner gave me. He assured me they would be okay. And thus far they seem to be doing great but Idk may just give them away, too stressed every morning hopeing there okay.

ammonia, nitrite and nitrate test kits are your friends


and looking again .. it def looks like turbo snail poop to me :) dont be afraid try squishing it and you will know ..
