Will a bluespot fight with a bicolor blenny or a ruby red dragonnet? this is a corner 54G tank, all wish are peaceful? Any thoughts? also is a longnose hawkfish a good choice for a reef?
Read the forums on blue spot jaw fish most people who keep them suscessfully have them in there own little tank by them selfs. Ive tryed least 5 of them all eat great live six months then poof gone they supossely get stressed from other fish getting to close to there cave so then they keep moving and end up just dieing from stress or something also need right type of rubble to build there caves so they don't collapse on them . Beautiful fish but do some reading before wasting money i didnt 500$ later i did lol
I have a BSJ in my 80 gal reef with 2 Wrasses, pair of clowns, a Tang and a Rabbitfish and they all get along very well IME...
at first the BSJ was apprehensive about coming out of his cave to eat but now he's out and about just as much as the others...
on occasion he will flare out his gills towards the Tang when they get too close together, but for the most part they are good neighbors
BSJ has been with me since April or May of this year and eats anything and everything![]()
Those fish need cool water to do well long term, they don't survive long in typical reef. That's why people usually report them doing great and eating for few months, and then die for no apparent reason.
