Need a Return Pump (mine broke)

Well....pump is in hand, but little did I know, you have to use Ecotech adapters to convert to 1.5 inch plumbing. I guess that overnight shipping I paid for was a waste.

Apparently, Ecotech uses BSP threads when standard plumbing is NPT (whatever this means?). Thanks Ecotech!

They use British standard pipe taps instead of national pipe tapes its like the metric of pipe taps bastards lol

Aww man, I use 4 of the vectras on my systems. So I have a backup of both sizes and adaptors, guess I'm just late to the party. I've been really happy with the noise level though. Silent compared to the hammerhead I was running.

Why wouldn't ecotech tell you or provide adapters??

After a trip to lowes, a trip to HD, and few hours of work, the M1 is running. It seems plenty powerful to run my two reactors and push plenty of flow through my sump. In the end, it's just a return pump and I'm not too excited about it.

My biopellets that sat in my reactor for nearly a week smelled like rotten eggs. I rinsed them with water from the sink, so they will have to re-seed.

On a positive note, I cleaned my skimmer, which I haven't done for six or eight months.
