The following is my personal experience with using this doser. If you have other opinions, I encourage you to write a review. Purchase: Bought this along with other stuff during the Jebao GB from last summer. Time in use: 6+ months Like many of you, the idea of spending $300-$500 on a doser...

    Frag Tool Maintenance

Have a couple of stainless steel bone cutters that I use from time-to-time that I'd like to keep in good order. After each use I rinse with tap water and dry off with a paper towel. Should I be spraying with any lubricant? What's the best way to maintain stainless steel in marine environment...

Automatic Water Change For under $150

Thanks to BRS and Joey. Love the idea here and if I had the space, I'd be on board with this. Any thoughts? How would you tweak it? I'd add to sump and control through apex. If you're already running a automatic water change system, would love to hear more about it. http://youtu.be/XtekO7RRRcA

    What will happen: touching monti's

I have several encrusting montiporas and a couple are getting close to one another. What will happen when two monti's touch? For example, my rainbow and sunset are pretty close. Will they fight with one dying? Should I move one? Will they just continue growing around each other? Thanks, Imran

I have proof! Photos of Killer (I think)

So as some of you may know, a few of my SPS have/are succumbing to STN. I thought it was AEFWs but was never able to capture one. Been monitoring my acros at night with a flashlight and I saw several red worms on one piece. They were less than a quarter inch long with one bulbous end. I'm...

    Something eating my SPS

I've been noticing some of my SPS are dying slowly to what I thought was STN but I constantly monitor my parameters and all is well. Weekly water changes and dosing 2-part. Suspected I have some bug but couldn't visibly identify anything. Looked at my red planet tonight and noticed a pretty...

    Anyone have a theme tank?

Was watching this DIY LR video and dude was making a Atlantis theme tank. Seems like a cool idea. I know the vast majority of us have "natural" style tanks. Anyone have a theme tank? Would love to see some pics or ideas. Video: http://youtu.be/IoTkNzHq2ro

How To: Swap Evergrow or ReedBreeders LEDs

Hi All, I really didn't like the green and red LEDs on my evergrow 24" fixture and decided to attempt to swap them out with Royal Blues and Violets. I was motivated by Sawdonkey (Gunner) and by this post from another site: http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f6/changing-diodes-213079.html Here...

    Cleaning Cyano from SPS

I bought an SPS frag from a well known LFS but totally didn't notice that one side of it is covered in cyano. I have no cyano in the tank and the coral has been in my system for about a week. Seems healthy and polyps are out. Can I somehow clean this frag? Just leave it alone? Was thinking...

    Blue SPS turning green

Anyone have some solid advice on keeping blues blue? All my water params are good and I'm running the reef breeders light (photon 24). All my blues are really healthy with great polyp extension but are green. Moved one of the "blue" pieces to a position in the tank today where it gets little...

    Black Reef Rock!

Hey all, Checkout this prototype of some black reef rock from West Mariculture. I LOVE the look and the idea. Imagine how the corals would pop against this and the coraline growth. Any thoughts?
