Anyway to repair an acrylic skimmer body

They ask $4K for the skimmer new. I just can't see how it can be $2700 for a piece of plastic. I'll give a repair a shot, as I said I have no money in it now and if I'm able to savage and use it I will give the seller some relief.

We all know this, but unfortunately the answer is simple... They have no incentive to help you/us out as they'd rather see your skimmer thrown in the trash so they can sell a new one... It's the same reason they have a 4 week wait/build time and just increased their prices. They are building reactors that can be built for dimes on the dollar in very little time. It's just their way...

After a few more conversations with Reef Dynamics I've elected to have them repair it. They are basically going to chop in in half and reweld a new lower half of the skimer. Should be good as new. Cost still will be less than I originally planned to pay so I'm OK with it. Thanks for all of your help.
