Thanks for the info. I'm heading out of town Thursday and won't have time before hand to deal with it, so maybe I'll give this a shot next week

Chemi clean worked Great for me. Never had an issue with livestock. The only problem was my skimmer would over flow for over two weeks. I kept Letting it over flow but then I finally just decide to give it a vinegar/water bath for an hour and worked instantly.

Mine has a small skim cup, so I would have to watch it closely or modify it. But where I have it setup I don't have space to have a permanent overflow bucket

Just take the cup off, letting it overflow into sump, and run the skimmer for aeration....air is key to it working safely

Looks like you have an external filter Place some GFO in a media bag inside the filter Good luck and good reefing

Also, I'd check TDS on your RODI, and think about adding more flow in that area. If you have any way to add a refugium that will help too.
