Fuge Light?

Wondering what kind of light would be best to put on my sump/fuge? Would like to possibly grow some macro algae. Looking for suggestions. Thanks everyone.

Anything that's around 6500K will work. I use a PAR bulb LED from Lowes that's 5000K and it grows chaeto like crazy.

I used to use a 6500 cfl bulb in a clamp light that i got from Ace. I have one i could sell you lmk.

sorry to steal your post, but i dont have much room under my tank and need a fuge light . dont think i have rooom for clamp light, any ideas? maybe a 12" strip light...idk, everywhere i look i read about the clamp on lights, i only have 6.5" room above my sump below my tank

Try getting a simple contractor grade bulb socket to mount to the underside of the stand above the fuge. Your only looking for anything to screw a standard bulb into, nothing special is needed, it just has to work.

I use this on back of my BioCube.
I'm sure you could mount it the same way, assuming the fuge is clear.
It's good for saving space, and is magnetic.
