Greg, I'm a little conflicted whether you should be posting that to Reefcentral. On the one hand they're idiots for trying to censor, on the other it is their site and you are being abusive. In the meantime you can try using bit.ly, or any of the dozen like services.

I know what you are saying, but there are people who would want to know about chicagoreefs, but do not get the chance since people are not allowed to mention it.
Of all the ways RC abuses its 'power' and its members, I am definetly not the worst. :D

Also, tinyurl (ect) would work good, but in the post title is useless. ;p
Dont want people to have to click the post to see what it is. But I may make a 2nd with a tinyurl. :)

I don't think that will ever happen- I've been infracted a few times for dumb stuff (ON RC And Here!) but they have rules for a reason to keep people from crying all the time. I hate to say it but this site has become nothing but RC rejects(Most). I signed up to this site thinking it would be a better community but right now it's not even worth the hassle staying here... But that's just my opinion... RC is what it is and I don't see myself leaving just to come to another site because all the cool people are here... I guess Get A Life is correct.
 
RC wasnt built overnight either.

There are things I would change about both CR and RC.
I believe CR is still the much better option though.

Not sure who offended you, but you are entitled to your opinion.
I wish there was more we could offer in an online community.
 
Sorry you fell that way. Just for the record, I never was at reef central. I do think people went out of their way to help you out, me in particular.

You don't have to leave RC to be an active member here. I know there has been a lot of anti-RC chants as of late, but we are not making anyone chose sides. I use RC from time to time and believe there are many great resources on that site not to mention I love reading the TOTM. I think this site will coexist with RC just fine. This site is just focused and more dedicated to the Chicagoland community. Which will allow us to focus on more local stuff like our LFS etc
 
Very well said mike,I don't think this site is for rejects.There are many members with vast experience here and I believe we should try to make this a successful online venue for members to look to for advice and a helping hand.
 
Hey Tank, It's nice to be able to use both forums for whatever, I'm pretty sure that helped you when you were selling your stuff, right?
If the RC guys wants to call us rejects, just because we have the balls to stand up for ourselves and challenge the mods there, then call me a REJECT! I like the freedom of speech here in CR.

Sorry, I just had to reply to this. My other reef forum (which will remain unnamed :D) decided to wage a one day war on the Mods there, writing the truths of their site. I was IP banned in just a few minutes. If you attack my friends for no reason, you attack me. Which then leads to a rather entertaining rebellion! My only regret is that I couldn't see the chaos we caused, because of the IP ban. Oh well!

Wow,well I saw that coming.some of us got banned for calling mods there names on total diff websites,so whatever.
 
I go to CMAS forum in RC and I think their traffic have slowed down a bit. Ours have picked up. I think more are posting here than over there. Majority of the posts there are for sale threads.

the infallible strain continues, wrong is wrong, right is right, part of being a good leader is knowing when you are wrong, and working past. I wouldn't go back either. I have a few thousand posts on that site, and haven't posted there since I came over here. (different name lurkers) I do read up from time to time though. The global part will keep them going, but the local sections will die out as more of sites like this are Google searches moving on RC. that's a Bigger deal mike if you are reading, searching Chicago and saltwater and you are the first post, which you are, good deal.
