LED Lighting for 93G Cube (30X30X24)

Hi Folks,

I'm sorry to post another "what LED" should I get thread. I have certainly read through the others, but before dropping this type of cash I wanted to get your feedback before I place the order. I've read and researched until my eyes feel like they are bleeding (ok maybe I'm overstating it). Long term I would like to keep SPS and some softies in the lower levels of the tank. So here are the three I really like:

AI SOL Super Blue (two units with 24" hanging kit)
MaxSpect Mazarra (two units with rim kit)
Radion (two units with hanging kit)

The Radion's while they seem like great LEDs are a a good bit above my budget, but I haven't given up yet. I like the look and the ability to tilt the Mazarra's but have found very little reviews on them. Seems like the first distributions had a lot of issues, but also like if I understand correctly that they are full spectrum, dimable etc. which is attrative at that price.

I like the SOL, but, again if I'm reading them right they are only white/blue. Although, I beleive I read that you can have them customized.

What would you spend your hard earned money on? For this size cube and 24" deep?

Hi Don. I too have tried to read all I can...and still dont know @#$% about lighting. I did look at the Apollo lights and if you have not looked at them I would add them to your list for consideration. You might even give Joe a call there and talk to him about your tank and the requirements you have. I ordered my light from Apollo today... I am anxious to get them and install them. I think the factors I was looking for were:
a) I have a 30" deep odd dimension tank ( a 92 gal corner bow)
b) I wanted something with "full spectrum" and not stark white or too blue
c) I wanted something I could program and dim as needed
d) I did not want to go broke....:D

For me I think this is the right choice. If you are not in a huge hurry.... I will post my opinions as I get the lights next week.

Thanks Dan, yes please let me know what you think when you get them. My wife certainly does mind me waiting another week :)
 
Ok, I put my big boy reef pants on and took SkullV's advice and bought two Radions. :) for the 93G build. Got my sump/refugium, skimmer and also two MP40Ws. My house looks like a LFS right now with all the boxes, I begin build out and plumbing this weekend :) Lights probably will not be here until early next week :(.

Thanks to everyones advice, espically Ted, who replied to several PMs to help me get the right setup.

I'll post pictures as I work through initial setup this weekend.

Sounds like it is going to be a GREAT setup! Keep us posted, and let me know when the Radions are hung. I can send you some programs to get you started.
 
I've seen the radions on teds tank and u will not b dissapointed on ur cube. I wish I can pick up a radion for my tank. I really like how u can customize how bright u want the LEDs. U can set it to how u want it.
