maxspect gyre xf-150

100LL have you got it working again?? You have any idea why it just stopped?

No, I tried everything I could. More disappointing is that there was no apparent reason for the failure. The unit was clean and I have no small snails or other critters that could have caused it to stop. It simply started flashing red and would not power off. Annoying!

Well that's not good news.. Hopefully I don't have many problems with it.. fingers crossed! Have you been able to get any customer support on the issue?

The short story is that the pump is 6 months old, but was purchased nearly brand new from a friend that wanted the xf130. Therefore, since I'm not sure how coralvue support would respond to me as other than the original purchaser, my friend has agreed to pursue a warranty claim on my behalf. Maybe I'm being silly handing it that way, but I don't feel like just throwing a $300 pump in the garbage. Regardless, I'm still really annoyed that it just stopped for no apparent reason.

Nope, no problems either. In fact, it's probably the single best purchase I've made for my tank yet. There's nothing else on the market that does what it does and at a great price point. The ONLY thing it's missing is programmability to create random flow patterns but that's about to change very soon too.

I actually just ordered an XF-130 the other day. It should be in tomorrow. Can't wait to get it installed and to take out my two wp-25s.

I got my 150 a few days ago. I might be the first person to say this, but I wish it pushed more water. My 220 could use two of these for sure. I'm running it with a wp20 of the other end on pulse.

I think I like this thing, but I still feel that the Jaebos are more flow for the money. I'm not sorry I purchased it, but it hasn't really blown my socks off.

I tried the alternating gyre mode, but I don't like how it cuts the flow in half. I really didn't like swapping out the paddles either. It just felt like everything didn't fit together quite right. I switched back to regular gyre mode and I thing I'll leave it like this.

Should of waited for the 170 that's supposed to come out mid summer, nothing wrong with running 2 of them though. Could have them facing each other for some nice back and forth action.

I also tried the alternating gyre but like you, i didn't care for it too much. I have mine on a nice quick pulse and getting great flow in my tank with that.

Yeah, I was kinda waiting for the 170, but one of my Jaebos stopped working so I was in need. I'm not sure a bigger pumps is what I need though. I'm already moving gravel on the far end of the tank. My issue is that the gyre effect doesn't make it back to the end of he tank where the gyre is located.

I'm sure I'll get it dialed in. I just haven't really gotten used to it yet.

I have a similiar issue, great flow on the one side where its pointed at, but on the side where its at, is definitely a lot less flow. I put a jebao pump right under the gyre and it seemed to help a bunch. I can take a picture if you want

I put a Jaebo at the opposite end on pulse that crashes into the gyre flow and sends it downward. Seems to be working. I just really feel like the Jaebo RWs push as much water for less than half the price.

So i tried out your placement of pumps, its actually even better! Thanks for the idea :)

I feel the jebao's do push a lot of water, but i have a deep dimension tank and i couldn't get flow in the whole tank even with 4 jebao's at once. The gyre gave me flow everywhere but i wanted a bit more so i added in the other jebao
