I'm also trying to figure out what's wrong with the other tank. Everything closed up torches and hammers are starting to have receded tissue, zoas fully closed, shrooms shrunken, this little guy is the only thing looking happy

these stories always sucks to hear, sorry man...if you end up having to throw away everything and starting from scratch, i'll donate a frag of this piece...it's not exactly like the piece you posted but it's probably just as blue if not deeper blue

not sure how i missed this post... Thanks for the offer. Very generous, but hopefully that won't need to happen

So after talking to rock lastnight and some research I think my problem in the 93 is ammonia from the dying coral. To make sure I'll be testing ammonia today and probably doing a big waterchange

Torches are almost dead. Tissue has receded all the way to the top only 1/2 left. Dumping prime into the tank. Not much more it could hurt now

ya no problem man...over the summer i had contracted dinoflagellates - the toxic kind that is almost impossible to eradicate and, i would say, is about even (or IMO worse) to AEFW in terms of a reefer's worst nightmare...i lost a LOT of beautiful corals and fish, some that had been with me for years...for months battling it i almost lost all hope and i was about to throw in the towel...in fact one night in a drunken rage i practically nuked my tank with high doses of hydrogen peroxide and almost lost everything (the dinos just laughed at it and all grew back the very next day, those sob's)...but i did find the cure for my problem and am very much enjoying the hobby once again...point is there's light at the end of the tunnel...keep doing what you're doing and i'm sure you'll beat this

Here's what's left of the collection

I set up a quick qt so there's atleast fresh saltwater. They have no chance in the dt.

You have no idea man
This is really sad to see.. a great tank destroyed by AEFW. Hopefully this turns around quickly.
It wont. This tank will crash. All coral will be lost. Just not enough time to keep up with everything. I'm hoping this qt tank shows something good. Doesn't have the right light on it but hopefully won't matter. Also there is only flow from a hob filter. Well have to be up in 3 hours to get my son and retry on water quality

Man really sorry to hear this. But I've never heard aefw crashing a tank themselves. I understand ur sps were hit bad but the lps is strange. I think the expired flatworm exit has a big part in this. The tank is crashing, I know how that feels. But once ur up and running again for sps, let me know and I'll try to frag of piece of one of my sps and donate to u.

Again sorry for ur losses

The flatworm exit was added over a month ago and there's been several waterchanges since then so do you really think it couldve still been that potent?
