Have you been doing 15 gallon water changes? Probably daily or every other day?

The only way to keep the enviornment safe for your livestock is to reduce the ammonia and nitrite readings to as near zero as possible.

These large water changes will extend the time it takes for the tank to naturally build up nitrates which will keep ammonia and nitrite at safe levels.

If you can't change enough water to keep those parameters at safe levels, maybe you should consider allowing a fellow reefer or store hold on to your live stock until it finishes cycling. This will result in a faster cycle too since you can just stop doing water changes.

Ok so a couple of water changes and chemi pure later.
Ne results as of today......nitrite 0. Nitrate 0. Ammonia .25. Ph 7.8.

Better right?

better, not done cycling yet. pH still too low. need to buffer water to atleast 8. have you checked your magnesium? I had a hard time with my pH/alk before and Jeni adviced me to check my Mag which was too low. when I corrected my Mag, my pH and alk normalized.
