Thoughts on a heater?

Looking to purchase a heater. Anyone have experience with this one? Or. Recommendations.

I like eheim jager. Use multiple smaller ones for redundancy, and so temperature doesn't increase as quickly if one sticks on. I also prefer to set them at about 80 and use an external temperature or aquarium controller set at 78.
 
+1 on multiple heaters rather than one large one. I don't really have preference on brands but definitely all hooked up to a controller.
 
Yeah, solid advice. Sound like a better way to go. Thinkin it’s time to pull the trigger on a controller

Definitely a solid investment if your serious about this hobby imo a controller is a must have. I use finnex titanium heaters

Im running apex now but ran a reefkeeper elite for yrs. reef keeper is very reliable never had even one let down. Apex has been ok can do alot that reef keeper cant do plus the away from home control is way better. Ive been struggling with the updates but some people never update them anyways. I recommend both really depends on how much control you want or need . If its basic control a cheap reef keeper be fine . If you want more advanced control apex is the way to go
