Too much flow

Me too. Placement is key depending on the type of coral. May have to move stuff around to make it happy but SPS will like the high flow areas!

Flow level looks good, but you may want to increase the pulse period time. Think of how waves come in on the shore.

Let say i connect it to my apex and have it osc and have it come on for 5 seconds off for 20 will this burn it out and i would do this with out the seperate apex jebao module?

Try putting it on the pulse mode and turn the knob to slow and see if that does what you want. I can't remember the modes since mines always on else at 100%

You could certainly do this with an OSC command and a regular outlet, I'd start with 5 seconds on, 5 seconds off:

OSC 000:00/000:05/000:05 Then ON

However you'd want to check with the pump manufacturer to make sure the pump can withstand this type of on/off action. The Jebao controller would do the power up / power down oscillation more gently.

ya i had it setup osc yesterday but im wondering if the osc function would stress the the rw control and cause it to burn out

I run 2 of these on my 65. just play with the timing a bit on the pulse made and you will be very happy. I set the timing to where the water being pushed starts to turn the sands on the opposite side and then turn it back just a hair more. Then the opposite pump engages. result is gentle wide flow back and forth with no wave.

I have a RW20 and i swear I can get away by only using that on a 120 4x2x2.. but I still run my mp 40 and rw 8 in other places :)
